The ninth annual Salt Spring Classic was held on sunny, breezy day just after high tide, beginning at 3:00 pm. There was a southwest wind blowing at about 10 mph to make our racers lives more interesting, and helping them stay cool in the hot, humid weather.

We again used two courses ... the full traditional length course from CSO headquarters, out around Cow Key, up the Cotee River to Port Richey Jasmine Park, then back to the finish line at Gill Dawg Marina ... for all the kayak racers. The SUP racers and fun paddlers had a shortened course that omitted to leg up the river to Jasmine Park.

We had a good turnout of kayak racers this year. But only one entrant in the SUP (stand-up-paddleboard) class.

See below the race results for pictures of the race as they are posted.
