The 2nd Annual Durney Key Challenge is very unique 2.3 mile paddling course and race around “turn of the century” stilt houses in open water, starting and ending on a small island called Durney Key, off the Pithlachascotee (Cotee) River in Port Richey, Pasco County FL. Within the course are 10 challenges or obstacles which will test endurance, paddling skills and speed. Join us for a personal challenge or the competition of a race. Three of the obstacles will involve contact with floating objects. See video on Paddling Pasco facebook page or Paddling Pasco website.

2. Right Turn – clockwise circle around stilt house #9 – head towards stilt house #7
3. In and Out - must get completely out of or off your paddling craft and then back in or on, inside an area marked with 4 buoys
4. Bumps – must get over a series of 5 floating logs or pipes
