After the end of a stormy week due to tropical storm Andrea, the weather cooperated for us and provided a beautiful sunny day for our paddle to Durney Key. Lots of paddlers showed up for our excursion to this ever-popular destination. All together we had 22 boats in the water. We headed out against a gentle west wind at near high tide. Once on the island, we joined quite a few other boaters who were partying on the island.

After about an hour thunderstorms could be seen brewing in the eastern sky, so it was time to head back to shore. With the wind at our backs, the return trip was even more fun than the paddle out to the island.
