You’ll seeing the park from a kayak at Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park !
We’ll explore Salt Springs and through mangroves! This is easy paddle, through the springs, we will be out about 1.5 hours. (OPTIONAL: If anyone wants to extend time we will stop at the Interpretive center after our tour of the Springs, and go out to the Gulf if the conditions and weather are good.). Join us to enjoy your own private launch area, parking, bathroom, and changing area as needed - all as a benefit of SSA membership! Bring a guest to have them enjoy our beautiful park!
Sign up/register early, this will sell out, we must limit to 25 participants.
Start and end at the Interpretive Center at 9120 Old Post Road (north end of Old Post Rd through chain link fence gates - NOT THE MAIN ENTRANCE)
The itinerary is as follows:
9:00- arrive and prepare for launch
9:30 - launch and paddle!
12:00 - return
You must bring your own Kayak, AND be ready to launch at 9:30. You must have life preserver, whistle, and sign a waiver at the event.
Kayak rentals available from Paddling Adventures, don’t forget 10% discount to SSA members.
Suggested: bug spray, water/hydration, snack, hat, sunscreen, water shoes, towel, waterproof bag for phone/camera.
